PPI Claims - reclaiming your payment protection premiums.

PPI is an insurance policy taken out with loans, mortgages and credit cards, to assist people with their repayments should they be unable to work.

This is fine in theory, but in practice, if you read the small print, you may be startled to discover that the policy doesn't actually cover you. This is especially true for those who are not in full time employment or those who have pre-existing medical conditions.

This is why so many people are making PPI claims and getting their money refunded. Some claims are worth as much as tens of £1,000s, depending on the size of the loan. Certainly, the average PPI claim relating to a loan is normally higher than £1000, so as you can see it's worth making a claim.

Customers can make a complaint directly to their the loan provider. This can be done by the individual themselves, but for those who want peace of mind that this type of complaint is dealt with on their behalf by an experienced professional, they can contact a reputable claims company who will deal with their claim on their behalf, usually for a fee that is only payable once the claim has been won. You may only get one chance to present your claim to the loan provider (since they will typically issue a final response to your complaint). It is therefore recommended that you present the facts of the case correctly and where possible refer to the relevant laws designed to protect consumers from unfair practices.
